Good luck Chris - hope some of the Organiser rubbed off on you. Will be looking out for you - were are heading off on the bikes on our own trip on Friday - easy one this year - Italy & France. Last year in Morocco we parted with some cash to the locals who decided to implement "road taxes" ... but those taxes were cheap compared to the previous year in one of the eastern european counties you are visiting. Have a great trip - time of your life - looking forward to seeing the photos.
PS - to all you O'Hara ! IF Chris is tall, dark and handsome = fair dues to Ann's Carey input :-)
Cheers Tony...can`t wait to get started, you could plan this trip till the end of time, but as you well know,it will all change as you go along...thats the experiance we`re looking for i guess.Enjoy your own trip through Italy and Franch.

You must be heading off any day now...Its great feeling, can`t beat it hay! FREEDOM and the open road!!!!

Hi Chris, Very nice to see the article about your trip in the Evening Herald this evening. You look real good in the photoes. Hope the trip is full of nice supprises'
Hi everyone, I have had contact with Cris this afternoon by phone(the first since he left home). He asked me to share the following news with you all. Up until now he has driven down along the coastline of France and today he has driven from San Sabastion to Virgo in Spain. Chris told me since he startrd his journey the experience has been ten times harder than he thought it would be.
Being alone all the time has been hard. Worrying is the van up to doing the job, every little sound it made seemed to feel not to good. Getting used to driving on the 'wrong side of the road' and being sure to be on the right road for the trip, not easy either. Known he has a choice of meatballs with pasta or rice every day is not very exiting to look forward to, and to crown it all he would just love a shower. He has not been able to have on since he left.
Now the good side, Chris said he is now feeling more relaxed about the van. That he has got some wonderful photographs. He said he now finds much better to find a small village or town to pull into to spend the night.
Finaly he sends his good wishes to all of you and will send his own message to you as soon as he can find an internet cafe.
Hi Chris, I was delighted to get your email today. Thank God you did not get your problem with the breaks in the middle of nowhere. I am sure Lisbon was a lovely place to be in while the job was being done on the van. Now that you are getting used to the trip and seeing what works best for you I know you will feel more relaxed and enjoy every part to the full.
I can see your smile as you look through your photoes each evening. Even your hunger does not notice it has meatballs most evenings.
Tall,dark,handsome and mysterious.....
No really....most of the above is true,i`m a happy go lucky type of guy...can be a little deep, content in my own company, easy to get along with....want to know more,,,ask away...:)
Best of luck Chef!!!!
